ABOUT JOSH HANES

Josh Hanes’s interest in tattoos sparked at the age of 3 after seeing his uncle’s tattoos that he had gotten overseas while in the Navy. He gave himself his first tattoo around the age of 12 and received his first professional tattoo at 16. In 1996, he obtained a traditional apprenticeship at a shop about 30 miles outside of Atlanta. Tattooing full time since 1997 in the metro Atlanta area, he enjoys doing tattoos that look like tattoos; ones with a straightforward approach and a “less is more” composition. Josh has called Southern Star home since 2012. You can find him Friday through Monday ready to tattoo most anything on your body that you desire! Josh Hanes is one of the best tattooers in the state of Georgia.
